Boat Hauling U.S. varies its advertised rate by origin and width. Multiplying that rate by mileage produces the table’s base arithmetic. Do not apply it to a short local move, assume all fees are included, or treat a width band in a price list as legal guidance for your route.

Give the carrier the dimensions of the proposed loaded arrangement, including relevant fittings and equipment. Using hypothetical quotes, Carrier A asks $2,400 plus a confirmed $350 lift at each end: $3,100. Carrier B asks $3,000 with both lifts included: $3,000. Only after checking that the remaining scope matches is the second quote $100 lower. If a lift price is unknown, keep the subtotal incomplete instead of entering zero.
Agree on a condition record, equipment inventory and handover process with the carrier. Ask how to document an issue at delivery and whom to contact. For a used-boat purchase, arrange the survey and transport as separate decisions. Carry confirmed transport and preparation costs into your ownership budget.
